    re: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

    AMD announced recently a new version of the processor 965 Phenom X4 Black Edition II, characterized by a decrease in TDP up to 125 Watt 140 Watt than previous innovations and some minor but very interesting overall. Nothing changes from the side of performance are at clock frequency 3.4 GHz in combination with 6 Mbytes of L3 cache, unified among the 4 processor cores. The socket connection is always that AM3, with extended compatibility with Socket AM2 motherboards combined with DDR2 memory.

    some important feature of AMD Phenom X4 965 II Black Edition

    •Maximum TDP of 125 watts, then aligned with that of other cpu Phenom X4 II available on the market from lower clock frequency;
    •support memory configurations with 4 DDR3-1333 operating at clock rates of default, does not downgrade the frequency of 1.066 MHz;
    •C1E function implementation in hardware, thanks to which the switch between different power saving mode occurs with virtually no performance impact.

    re: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

    The first versions of the processor Phenom X4 II may present cases of unstable operation when two modules are used for each channel to the memory clock of 1,333 MHz, with a risk of system failure. The solution set automatically by the BIOS is to downgrade the clock frequency of memory modules to the value of 1066 MHz, with a reduced performance penalties.
