| Error while updating ASUS P5Q Pro bios with EZ Flash
Motherboard: Asus P5Q Pro - Socket 775 for Intel Pentium D / Core 2 Duo / Quad Core / Celeron 1 x Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 - 3.16 GHz - 65 Watts - 0.045μ 1 x Gskill DDR2 PC2-8500 - 2 x 2 GB (4 GB) 1066 MHz - CAS 5 1 x Graphics Card Radeon HD 4870 - 1024 MB GDDR5 - PCI-Express 2.0 1 x Internal HDD 3.5'' 500GB 32MB 7200 rpm - SATA II - Caviar Green - WD5000AADS 1 x Antec Sonata 3 PC Case with 500 Watt psu Assembling without problems and I run the installation of Windows XP 64 bit. Blue screen with "The system BIOS is not fully ACPI compliant .... press F7 key ... etc" STOP: 0x0000005 (0x0000000000000011, 0x0000000000000006, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000) I press F7, but I wonder if I have a single or dual processor (I tried the 2 solutions) and blue screen reappears. I tried: Clear RTC RAM, removed the battery, load the default bios, disable then enable the APIC and ACPI 2.0, still nothing. I downloaded a new version of the Bios from ASUS site but can not install with EZ Flash 2" Bios data does no Match the file content". Can anyone help me what is the problem with my ASUS P5Q Pro bios update process with EZ Flash? |

In which format are you putting the bios that you had downloaded on a USB key: FAT 16 or FAT 32? Even I had this crash problem with CD? Have you tried this CD on another machine and/or if you can exchange CDROM drive? This is the original CD that must be rewritten not more than 10x.

I even try to recover the BIOS on the CD of the motherboard but the same result. The CD ROM must be in good condition since the installation CD of Windows XP 64 bit is read and the installation is done until the fateful message. I also tried to set the Bios to motherboard CD and the same result. |

Windows XP 64 bit may not be recognized, by this I'm surprised that you have a normal Windows XP cd to try to share the 64 bit. I think you should test with Linux live CD just to see what happens. Otherwise if the card has been purchased then a refund request will also do the trick.
