Blue Tint screen

Hey Good Morning

I have problem with my monitor which is an Acer LCD. I searched on google to find a solution for that but to no avail. You see my monitor has recently had a blue tint over the screen, everything else seems to function normally. I am working on a xp machine with 2 gig ram on Asus board. I wonder if anyone out there could please help.

Cheers

I found the solution for you. On your monitor (Mine is the stock 17" eMachines LCD), hold the Menu button (On right side) and go down to 'Reset'. I did that and it went away. Hopefully it doesn't come back. I must put that prior I pushed reset, I fiddled around with the color, making red, blue, and green all at 50.

Re: Blue Tint screen

It may be of three reasons. The monitor, the cable or the video card. First thing to do is to attempt the monitor on another machine. If it is still blue it's the monitor or cable. If not it's the video card. If it is the monitor and it had a detachable cable try swapping that out before throwing out the monitor or having the LCD serviced.

You might want to check the connector on your video card. Wiggle it around and watch the screen. Re seat.If the card isn't built into the board, try pulling it out, cleaning up the connection, and re-seating it. It really is as easy to do as it sounds. the connector, especially if you have a DVI to VGA adapter. Try using another adapter. My card came with two in the box.
