How to find chipset motherboard

I'm running Windows Xp as my operating system on my pc. I would like to know that how to find chipset motherboard? Does any body knows how to find it? Kindly provide me the correct information on the above issue. Any kind of information on the above issue would be appreciated.

In Windows, assuming the correct driver is installed, you can look in Device Manager and see the list under "Display Adapters". or your can also use CPU-Z tool to find your chipset motherboard.

Right click on My Computer and select properties. Next click on the "hardware" tab and then click on the "device manager" tab. However, this may be inaccurate, since Device Manager receives information directly from the driver, not from the hardware's BIOS. Once inside the device manager click on "system devices" to expand the tree. The type of chipset will be listed within this list. Such chipsets may include, but are not limited to: VIA, ALi Magik, SiS, Intel etc.

Programs that run performance or diagnostic tests must properly identify the hardware they are testing. CPU-Z is a free utility that would read some basics of the chipset. More detailed information, particularly regarding chipset too, can be obtained with (shareware) utilities like Everest or SiSoft Sandra.
