What is the maximum memory for ibm 300gl

I'm having an IBM PL-300 on which i had installed Windows Vista as my operating system. have a chart in which the machine shows that it can take up to 128MB of PC100 memory in each of its three slots for a total of 384MB. So, i would like to know that what is the maximum memory for ibm 300gl? Will it accept more memory than that, assuming 256MB in each slot for a total of 768MB? Does any body knows about it? Kindly provide me the correct information on the above issue.

Your IBM Memory PC 300GL PIII (6574) (non-ECC) only supports modules made with a specific type of chip build. To utilize more memory, install a 64-bit version of your OS. Assuming you are using properly working supported RAM, your BIOS will automatically recognize your memory.

IBM PC 300GL 6278-S1U Computer takes the PC100 ECC and non-ECC SDRAM DIMMs Memory Type, and comes installed with 64 MB (removable) of Memory. For the IBM 300GL, you must use 3.3V 100MHz unbuffered SDRAM DIMMS. You must fill the slots in order, meaning DIMM slot 0 must be filled before DIMM slot 1 (there are only 2 slots).
