Re: How a CPU Works

Cpu is contain with A microprocessor and microcontroller. A microprocessor incorporates most or all of the functions of a central processing unit (CPU) on a single integrated circuit .The integration of the whole CPU onto a single VLSI chip therefore greatly reduced the cost of processing capacity. the complexity of an integrated circuit, with respect to minimum component cost, doubles every years.Though the term "microprocessor" has traditionally referred to a single- or multi-chip CPU or system-on-a-chip.

Re: How a CPU Works

The basically cpu contains all resisters , memory , data bus , where every where you will find transistor and flip[-flop at the basic which is use to form all this peripheral but innovative technology made all component size to reduced format so now cup is just small cub but it contents laks of components

Re: How a CPU Works

The CPU receives instructions then execute it all this part of computer technology which recognizance computer language .
The CPU performs four steps in executing an instruction:

1. The control unit gets the instruction from memory.
2. The control unit decides what the instruction means and directs the necessary data to be moved from the memory to the arithmetic logic unit.
3. The arithmetic logic unit performs the actual operation on the data.
4. The result of the operation is stored in memory or a register.
