When and how to upgrade and flash bios

i am having old computer not much old 2 years old. but i want to know i come to know that i want to upgrade or install latest bios ? also how i can Perform a BIOS Upgrade by flashing old bios? also i am having Dell 600e so please tellme for that also .....help me to know and do this

If you are having problem regarding booting and getting blue screen of death and you found no solution after troubleshooting all device then you can go for bios upgrade also if you want to overclock performance of your computer better to go with latest bios ..

how to install bios update

1. Check your motherboard manual regarding the BIOS.Find out the manufacturer and model of your current BIOS.
   
2. visit the manufacturer's Web site for latest BIOS download.
   
3. Copy the bios to a floppy disk.
   
4. Follow the manufacturer's instructions
   
5. Reboot your computer and check the bios
