How to Upgrade Memory in Gateway G6-400
  

hello friends,

I have Gateway G6-400 computer with me. This system comes installed with 128 MB of memory which is removable. This is indeed very less amount of memory and I need to upgrade it. How much and how can i upgrade a memory in my Gateway G6-400 computer ?

In Gateway G6-400 Computer, you can upgrade memory maximum upto 384 MB. The system provides 3 sockets to install Memory, already with 128 MB (removable) standard Memory installed.

For best performance, it is recommended to use the maximum amount of allowed Memory per slot for your computer.

The biggest performance gain or improvement lies in upgrading the memory (RAM) of your computer system. If you upgrade the processing speed say from 350 Mhz to 450 Mhz, then it would result very minimal upgrade that you won't even be noticed. But if you upgrade RAM, say from 128 MB to 256 MB, 256 MB to 512 MB, 512 MB to 1 GB, etc then you would really experience a better and improved speed and system performance.
