Hp printer:printing stripes on photos

i have HP printer that i got from my friend but from few days it not printing proper it printing stripes on photos and text so please some one tell me how to resolve it .

this is due to printer cartridge alignment is not properly done, so make sure alignment and try again on paper. this does not looks like software problems with the Windows printer drivers so..

How often you are using your printer because it might be due to ink cartridge problem as if you tend to use less it got dry and not working fluently so you are having issues with printing result strips on print. so better to replace cartridge.

Always make sure you are having original ink cartridge because duplicate cartridge unable to work properly not able to provide that quality. another problem can be damaged printer head and that can be costly.
