Can't get A7V600 to boot to Sata drive

I am using Asus A7V600 Motherboard from many years. I recently upgraded my computer and got a new SATA HDD for the first time. I started formatting this drive using Windows XP CD and successfully installed Windows XP. But the problem arised when I tried to boot it. I am unable to move further. Is it possible for me to boot Windows XP with my A7V600 motherboard to utilize my sata drive?

I think your BIOS version is old. Try updating your bios and see if this works. If not then, the next thing that comes to my mind is drivers. Have you installed all the drivers to support your new hardware? If not then do that. If that too didn't worked then make sure all the cables are properly installed and connected.

Are SATA controllers set to IDE mode instead of RAID mode in BIOS? Also boot into your BIOS-setup utility to verify that "auto-detect" is selected for the drive. Save changes and exit the utility. Imaging IDE to SATA will only work if SATA drivers are installed on IDE drive.

Have you set the sata drive to boot first? You have to set the priority for drives and the boot order. Windows XP does not provides the direct support for SATA Hard Drives, so you have to manually install the drivers.
