should i update bios for MSI motherboard

I have a old MSI motherboard and I always update the drivers for it whenever it is launched freshly, but after using everest I found out that the bios for this board is 5 years old. So, should i update bios for MSI motherboard or not, cause I think that if there was any problem related to bios then it would have arrised long ago. Thank you

I would say unless if there isnt any problem related to your bios update then dont update it. But if you still persist then you would like to read some guide on safe bios update procedures and why updating bios is important.

Do not flash the BIOS if your system is running fine.

If you have not flashed a motherboard bios manually before, please use caution when updating the BIOS manually. Or you can use MSI Live Update 3 to update the bios.

Also before updating the BIOS, make sure to note all BIOS settings you have made manually, as updating the BIOS will set all BIOS settings back to factory defaults.

If you want to update your bios then you can always go to the motherboard manufacturer's website to get the latest BIOS for your motherboard's exact model. Your motherboard manual should contain instructions on how to flash your BIOS. If you don't have your manual, you can download it from MSI. Also, at the MSI website, the BIOS download page says that they recommend using their flash utility to update the BIOS. The utility is included in the BIOS download. The BIOS site also has instructions on how to determine your motherboard's model if you aren't sure.
