    Intel core i7 system slow

    need help
    this is my system config

    intel core i7 920 2.67ghz
    asus p6t deluxe motherboard
    corsair DDR3 ram 1333MHz 4GB(2GB*2)
    nvidia quadro fx570 GPU 256mb
    tagan 800w power supply
    500GB hard disk
    xp professional 64bit


    my system working slowly
    if i open any softwares or file it takes long time to open

    as far you have not done any overclocking settings it is problem of your operating system or any junk application installation or uninstallation that is not properly done another big problem is virus so scan pc for viruses with updated antivirus also use cc cleaner to clen registry ,clear temp folders.

    See your windows task manager ,,click the processes tab see which application is using how much memory : Unwanted services remains in the Windows Task Manager , if some application is using high memory then end it . See if this works or will post back some more tweaks
