How to take off ram heatsink

i want to know easy way to remove a heatsink from my RAM memory.on my old one have this heatsink Kingston DDR3 Ram. i want to remove them and wanted to put on my new one so please tell me how to do that also is that Passive RAM Heatsinks and what it makes difference ?

Removing ram heatsink is easy if yo have knowledge in that.there is different types of heatsink that are used for ram by manufacturer and also depend on how old ram is if that is much old one there must be screw of very much less size on some ram its hard to unscrew them other wise by unscrewing them you can replace ram heatsink.

you need to watch carefully on the top of ram you will find two metal clips that you need to pull out side so that will help you to take off ram heatsink some what its different from take off video card heatsink it is passive ram heatsink .

While take off ram heatsink you need to check out type of heatsink carefully if that is different than link that you have posted then remove it carefully almost all ram heatsink are passive and they only do one work cooling..maintaining temperature of device.
