    MSI P35 unbootable

I have a PC which no longer starts (fans/hdd run but nothing else) after a few months of use

    CPU: Intel E7200
    Motherboard: MSI P35 Neo-F
    RAM: G. Skill PC6400 PK
Graphics card: ATI X1900 XT 256MB
    Power Supply: Corsair VX550

I tried with a clear CMOS, without success. Then I tested the memory one by one, but to vain. I do not have a beep.

I did not have another 775 CPU to test, but I am convinced that this is the motherboard that is having the problem. In your opinion, CPU or motherboard?

I also had the same problems with my P35 Neo Combo.

For CPU, if the temperature of processor exceed a certain temperature it will be safe and cut so it would have been plenty of games in full reboot for example.

When you turn the computer what is happening? The screen stays black and the fan? Have you tested the X1900 on your PC?

If you can not here the beep, then I suppose remove all the peripherals because the motherboard is actual culprit.

    @ Marthaz

So yes this is not the first time I have a problem with MSI.

Yes I put my HD4850 in place of the X1900XT initially in this computer to test. And no it does not always start.

    Good to hear the trial.

I did not have a speaker plugged into the motherboard. I just find one, I will do the test.

It seems to me more like a CPU crash: the start of HDD and fans and nothing is displayed, a typical CPU idle ...

Typically a motherboard use a series of continuous beeps at startup. The fans insecure may be damaged in the processor.

However, most hardware manufacturers offer hardware diagnostics. Just go for it to rectify the actual culprit.
