    mother board upgrade

I'm about to upgrade my motherboard & processor only. What I'd like to know is:-
Can I just do a straight changeover, load the necessary new drivers and carry on?
Would it be better to uninstall the drivers from the old motherboard first then carry on with installing the new motherboard.
Hope someone can put me right.
    Regards, Billbach

FIRST BACKUP ALL of your data on drive c:. Then install new motherboard and CPU, and try to turn on computer. Your's current install of Win may not be compatible with new motherboard (it will not boot up to desktop, just restart's computer again and again and...) and you will have to do a repair install. best is a clean install of windows after wich everything runs perfectly. You could say what is your curent mobo and the new one and may help you would it work. but whatever happens backup your data. If you allready installed motherboard and works, just unnistall old drivers and install new, it is the best solution and fastest
