    PC runs only on 1.5ghz in place of 2ghz

    hi,
    my PC runs only on 1.5ghz in place of 2ghz,is there wrong memory inserted?bios wrongly adjusted?

    Are your FSB and multiplier settings weird in your BIOS? Have you been fooling around with them lately? It sounds like some kind of BIOS setting thats messed up. Maybe start by restoring the defaults and see what happens.

    change your power setting to High Performance.

    depends if you are running on battery & have processor intensive tasks running, also, check your powersave settings. click on the little battery icon on the taskbar to configure.
