Both of them are similar in most of the factors, but I'll prefer Intel DG 31PR

I did go through these links, but to be frank they sounded Greek to me. I would like a few clarifications:
Does intel DG 31PR have 5:1 sound card built in,
As I already have a creative sound blaster 5:1 card in my old desktop
Also does it have more PCI slots or PCIe slot.
Can I fit this sound card on either of these boards
Also will all the five outputs be in the front of the cabinet
Any help regarding this will be appreciated

Yes, the 5.1 sound card comes up with intel DG 31PR. However if you already have the same sound card, you can keep it as a back up.

It has the capabilities to expand for -
Two PCI Conventional bus add-in card connectors
One PCI Express x1 bus add-in card connectors
One PCI Express x16 bus add-in card connectors

The graphics card's memory type have absolutely NOTHING to do with the motherboard. You can use any graphics card with any motherboard as long as both card and mobo have the same kind of slot interface (such as PCI Express).

then why not get Asus P5KPL-AM/PS
they have the same spec as defined by the two intel boards but has more
like 8 channel audio and G31 Chipset.compared to intel they are cheap buy small margin though
