Memory: 2814 MB of RAM while I have 4 GB RAM

I did a dxdiag in vista home premium and I just see - Memory: 2814 MB (when I have 4GB). Mark it in memory paging file 1858 MB used and available in 3989.

Can anyone know about this problem plz help me

if your have 32 bit (vista 32 bit) it will detect 4GB but will operate just 3.25 (wholesale max 3.5 in some cases)
ram is it 4x1Gb or 2x2Gb?

Any chance this is a laptop or a machine with integrated graphics chip?
If so then we must subtract the shared memory with the graphics chip. If the latter has no memory it will use the memory and it will be less than the system will. In this case we see in the BIOS to possibly adjust the value a little lower.

Many motherboards do a remapping of the ram if you put 4 strips 1gb. In the bios, you can be, depending on the model, and disable the remapping your 4GB will appear.
