    Intel Core i7 heat issue

    Hi,
I am facing a serious heat issue with my core i7 920 with a ASUS P6T Deluxe V2. It runs in the 40/45 ° C in idle. So, to make some tests, on a Everest test my temperature climb steeply to reach 85 ° C or 90 ° C after 5 seconds.

So I'd like to know where this rise in temperature.

    thank you to you.

The 920 2.6GhzI have with stock cooler never gets above 60C, even under SMP folding. I advice you to restart the install of intel rad (if it is the original rad) is limited. change the thermal paste with the proper into the kind of artic silver or the MX-2.

Buy Akasa Nero AK-967 Heatsink. it is based on the popular heatpipe direct touch technique, and like so many CPU coolers, for today's class of heatspreader capped processors it's the only way to go! Akasa Nero AK-967 heatsink maintains an excellent temperature result of 17.9°C over ambient (39.3dBA noise) at full fan speed.
