| Key-Press to enter into BIOS [All] What is BIOS? BIOS - Basic Input Output System It is a small CMOS IC that is always powered on by a button cell. It is a partial volatile memory. It has the basic program that boots the system up before transferring the control over to the Operating System. It is partial volatile memory because, the program or code that is in the BIOS memory is permanent and the volatile portion is only the settings that we do. Anyways... There are a lot of time we need to go to the BIOS menu to configure a lot of things like boot device priority, Shared video memory settings, Setting the S.M.A.R.T capability of hard disk ON or OFF... Finally to the topic, Every BIOS and Motherboard has different BIOS program in their CMOS IC and even the key-press to enter the BIOS of all of them are different...! In this thread i'm posting the Key-Press for different BIOS. |
