    Upgrading Intel Pentium 4 Processor

I have an Intel Pentium 4 I want to upgrade. I have this new memory, a 3 Ghz processor with associated cooler purchased. It now appears that the motherboard supports max 2 Ghz Processor. Original 1.5 Ghz in there.
BIOS upgrade, I do not see a seat unless someone can clearly explain how to do this.
    PC Data:
    Motherboard Name ChainTech 9BJA
Award BIOS Type Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
    CPU Type Intel Pentium 4, 1514 MHz (15 x 101)

Does anyone know a good solution, so I get the new processor to use?

You mean of course to say "unless someone me www.google.com might indicate? Have you ever looked for example, self or newer BIOS versions that support a faster processor?
What processor did you buy? Pentium 4 3Ghz?
If you are not using newer motherboard BIOS your processor can support you still need a new motherboard. In that case you would just as soon be able to upgrade to socket 775 ....

It's been really electricsketchbook said but something more:

    - Search the website of ChainTech
    - Search for bios updates for your motherboard type.
    - Create a bootable USB stick with DOS on HP Format tool.
    - Place the files that you've been chaintech.
    - Boot from USB
    - Turn the bios update (scroll to the appropriate folder with CD and type probably something like this: bios update program bios update)

Thus, at least I did for my motherboard.
