I have a CORSAIR 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR2 533 PC4200 PCI EXPRESS 16x2 memory card.

Can I replace my graphics card by a SAPPHIRE HD 4670 512MB GDDR3

My question: Is DDR2 memory card and DDR3 graphic card compatible ?

Yes, basically it has the same interaction as the compatibility between the rubber used for your tires and the type of plastic from your dashboard.

The graphics card on board its own memory, strictly independent of memory for the processor / motherboard.

Thank you very much for your responses. I wanted to be sure before ordering my graphics card. I think buying an ATI Radeon HD4670 or HD4830, but according to the opinion they are harvested a little noisy.

I do not know what's your budget, but for Rs. 1300 - 1950 more in general, you can have a Gainward Golden Sample 4850, with a good cooling system.
