    Adding or Changing RAM

    I currently have a Core Duo E6850, 2 x 1GB G-skill PC 8500 Hz, 8800 GTX, ASUS P5K Deluxe ........

Tell me if I'm wrong, but it must have the same reference to add more ram. I wanted to put more ram on my computer.

I wonder if I should not sell my RAM sticks to buy 4 GB directly. Basically I do not know what to do ......

Selling or not? And performance level?

You can put whatever you want if you do not overclock, for you can lose against the (pseudo) earnings of dual-channel ... Not sure, please confirm.

If I added it, should it be the same frequency? What do you think is most interesting?

    Re: Adding or Changing RAM

If you just want to add more ram go for 3GB (no dual channel) or 4GB (dual channel but 32 bit OS will only support 3.2GB), then take the ram which has the same characteristics namely:

    - Mark (G. Skill)
    - Timing (CAS 4-4-4-5)
    - Frequency (PC8500)

If you want to do the overclocking than take something else.
