Re: Is MHz in Ram a Difference in Gaming?

If you have no plans to overclock your Ram then this topic can be avoided.
And if you are spending an ample of amount for high powered RAM stick then it does matter. Also high powered Ram will provide an immense boost to your machine when you are in the gaming peak.

Re: Is MHz in Ram a Difference in Gaming?

It is important because each motherboard supports only certain speed(s) of RAM. You need to be sure you buy the correct speed for you computer.
Especially when your hard disk is concerned you should be more alert as lower hard drive capacity and powerful Ram can also crash your machine in no time or work at an ant speed

You need to get RAM that is compatible with your motherboard,
The higher the better. Try going for GHz. But at the same time check the graphic card and CPU of your motherboard as these are the essential things you should always keep in mind when you try to upgrade your computer in whatever sense.

Re: Is MHz in Ram a Difference in Gaming?

It is very much important because the Mhz is the frequency or cycles of the RAM, so the higher the frequency the faster the RAM. And it is not advisable to use RAM with different frequencies because the one with lower will lag behind making the system unstable. Also to keep in mind that nowaday's as the technology is getting vast you have to upgrade your machine as per your configuration and not just by the power the component will deliver to your machine.

Technology is great but only when it is used in correct sense.
