Dual Channel DDR3 Vs Triple Channel DDR3

    Hi.......
i m upgrading my machine in terms so that i can access more powerful as well as faster or speedy machine. So coming to the requirement as Can you suggest me for the DDR3 RAM as I wanted to know that which Ram is better of these two..
    is it DDR3 Dual Channel?
    Or
    is it DDR3 Tripple channel?
Please provide your feedback on this.....

Re: Dual Channel DDR3 Vs Triple Channel DDR3

    hi there:
    OCZ Dual Channel 2048MB PC10600 DDR3 1333MHz Memory

OCZ’s tested DDR3 Ram to take advantage of the highly-anticipated Intel P35 platform while experiencing the quality and reliability of OCZ memory.

OCZ Gold DDR3 modules are initially available in 2x512MB and 2x1024MB dual channel kits. Each module is 100% professionally tested for quality assurance and compatibility with the latest Intel P35 motherboards and feature proprietary gold-mirrored XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreaders for the most effective heat dissipation.

This are few points i wanted to share with you:

    • Memory Size: 2 x 1024MB
    • Memory Type: Dual Channel DDR3
    • Memory Speed: 1333MHz PC10600
    • Memory CAS Latency: 9-9-9-26
    • Pins: 240

    Check this:

Corsair Releases Triple Channel DDR3 Memory Kits

Exactly after the release of OCZ’s triple-channel DDR3 memory kits, Corsair has now officially announced their offerings. The DDR3 RAM, specifically designed for Intel’s next-generation Core i7 processors, will be available in six different variations with capacities of
    • 3GB
    • 6GB

    with the speed of
    • 1333MHz,
    • 1600MHz,
    • 1866MHz

    Their details are given below:

    MODEL SPECIFICATION
    1. TR3X6G1866C9DF 6GB 1866MHz DOMINATOR Kit with Airflow Fan
    2. TR3X3G1866C9DF 3GB 1866MHz DOMINATOR Kit with Airflow Fan R3X6G1600C8D 6GB 1600MHz DOMINATOR Kit
    3. TR3X3G1600C8D 3GB 1600MHz DOMINATOR Kit
    4. TR3X6G1333C9 6GB 1333MHz Kit
    5. TR3X3G1333C9 3GB 1333MHz Kit

The Dominator kits have more advanced, finned heatsinks, while the others have standard heat spreaders. The 1866MHz models provide higher clock speeds than any of the OCZ triple-channel kits, but Corsair does not state whether or not the kits maintain the 1.65V limit above which Core i7 processors may be damaged.

Re: Dual Channel DDR3 Vs Triple Channel DDR3

    My view:

Patriot Extreme Performance PC3-14400 2x1GB Dual channel DDR3 Ram

When DDR3 RAM was first introduced to the public in 2007, it did not seem to be able to capture much of the consumer and enthusiast market alike. There's a good reason for this though, I won't even try to deny it -- when DDR3 debuted in 2007, the asking price was very much high for 2x1GB sets -- there was a very limited amount of people that would have been willing to spend a high amount on 2GB of RAM.

Past few months DDR3 RAM is much more cheaper and affordable now and every manufacturer offering a complete range of value-oriented models to high performance DDR3 kits, Patriot's Extreme Performance PC3-14400 2x1GB dual channel kit.

    Patriot's Extreme Performance PC3-14400 2x1GB RAM kit

    Specification:

    • Extreme Performance PC3-14400 (1800MHz)
    • Low Latency (8-8-8-20)
    • Patriot Aluminum Bladed Heat Shield Technology to improve module module stability
    • 100% Tested and Verified
    • Lifetime Warranty
    • RoHS Compliant
    • Tested and compatible with Intel P35, X38 and X48 chipsets
    • XMP Ready
    • Optimized for Intel Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad, and Core 2 Extreme

Re: Dual Channel DDR3 Vs Triple Channel DDR3

    Try this one:
Gingle Releases Triple-Channel DDR3 Memory Kits

Gingle has announced the launch of its triple-channel DDR3 memory kits for Intel Core i7 processors.

Gingle’s new RAM modules are available in:

    • 3 GB (1 GB x 3)
    • 6 GB (2 GB x 3)

    variations as well as

    • 1600MHz
    • 1800MHz

    speeds.

All variations share the same stock timings (8-8-8-24).

While Gingle’s 16000MHz memory requires 1.65v, it is interesting that Gingle’s 1800MHz modules do not conform to Intel’s recommended voltage, with a 1.8v requirement.

Re: Dual Channel DDR3 Vs Triple Channel DDR3

    My Justification on:

    4GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz - 4 DIMMs or 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz

Current DDR3 DIMMs are running at CAS latencies of 7 - 9 cycles.
Latency is how many ticks of the clock that the RAM has to wait between one memory operation and when it is ready to do another RAM operation.

    Speed Available with this Ram:

    Premium RAM

    1. 800 MHz x 4 cycles = .005 of a second
    2. 1333 MHz x 7 cycles .00525 of a second

    Standard RAM

    1. 800 MHz x 5 cycles = .00625 of a second
    2. 1333 MHz x 9 cycles .00675 of a second

    hi ........

DDR3 RAM kits. Many of the people are hearing it for the first time. But DDR3 is out before a long time itself but it was quite unpopular.

    Salient Features :

    • 32 GB Per Second Bandwidth
    • Lower Latency
    • Ideal For Next Generation Computers
    • Specially Devoloped For Intel Core i7 Processors
    • Lower Power Consumption
