    question P8400 V.s. P7350

    Hey guys,

Which system would give me a better gaming performance?

    System one:

    -4GB DDR2
    -NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
    - Windows Vista Home Premium
    -320GB (5400RPM) Hard Drive (SATA)
    - Intel Centrino 2 Processor Technology featuring Intel Core2 Duo Processor P7350 (2.0 GHz)
    -15.4" Diagonal WXGA High-Definition (1280 x 800)

    System two:

    -4GB DDR2
    -NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
    - Windows Vista Home Premium
    -320GB(5400RPM) Hard Drive (SATA)
-Intel Centrino 2 Processor Technology featuring Intel Core2 Duo Processor P8400 (2.26GHz)
    -16" widescreen (1366x768)

I know the P8400 gives a better performance than the P7350 as shown in benchmarks . Though, would system two with the P8400 still give a better gaming performance than system one with the P7350. Even when the P8400 system has to deal with a larger screen and slightly higher resolution than the system with the P7350?

    Thanks

Go for P7350 because 0.26Ghz will not make lot of difference, its your graphics card that will effect more for gaming.

The P8400 is a really fast processor. A P7350 should also be good enough for gaming, the performance hasn't really been benchmarked but its only about 10% slower than the P8400. That said, for gaming, both of these would be great almost equally, for over 95% of users difference in those CPU's makes no difference.

The resolution of both the screens would not make much difference. In fact, the resolution caparison is of slight deviance only. So P8400 is worth buying for a gaming rig.

I agree to that point. If playing games is a buying feature than you should actually concentrate on the graphics card instead, as it would be a greater bottleneck.

hmmm, would I get more FPS in games with the P8400( system two) than the P7350( system one)? I'm sure it would be different for different games and different settings. Though, lately I been playing world of warcraft. So I guess in that case, would I get more FPS with the P8400 while playing wow?
