Hey guys,
I was wondering what's the difference between a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and a Intel Centrino 2 Processor Technology featuring Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor?
Is the centrino one worse?
Thanks

Core 2 is a wider family of chips, Core 2 Duo is faster. I think that the Centrino is just a single core processor whereas Core 2 Duo is a dual core processor. Allows for multiprogramming / parallel programming / parallel processing. and they cover both laptop specific chips and desktop specific chips. Overall, Core 2 is a more powerful processor than Centrino.. in the same way that Pentium was more powerful than the Celeron of the same speed rating.
Centrino is not the name of the CPU but the name of a hardware package.
A Centrino and non Centrino PC can have the exact same processor, but the non Centrino PC might not have some wireless networking features that the other has.
