Core 2 Quad Q6600 or Core 2 Duo E8600 ?

My config:

CASE Thermaltake Matrix
Power Supply: Fanless Antec 450W
Motherboard: Intel D945PVS
Processor: Intel Pentium D 3.2 GHz
4 GB of RAM 667 MHz
Hard Drive: 500 GB Samsung SATA 7200 rpm
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB
Creative Audigy sound card
Windows Vista Professional Edition

I want to buy new components. But I hesitate a lot between a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and Core 2 Duo E8600. Main use: Play Flight Simulator X and Red Alert 3, Rip DVD to DivX, making the conversion and possibly video editing later. I have a graphics card nVidia GeForce 8800GT for all this.

Which processor is better suited to my needs?

Furthermore, I do not know in terms of motherboards. Could you advise me the best motherboard for the chosen processor, preferably below Rs. 6500, knowing that I do not need SLI or Crossfire, but a maximum of PCI slots if possible and 4 slots for DDR2 memory. I would like the motherboard most powerful to match these criteria. Can you help me choose?

I also need your advice to psu. I would like to have a model which is silent.

For FSX (Flight Simulator X), Quad processors are best.

For the motherboard, look at the ASUS P5QL-E and GIGABYTE GA-EP43-DS3-L.

For power supply, Antec Earthwatts 380W or 430W is enough.

All Antec EarthWatts are manufactured by Seasonic, and so there should not be any such issues.
