    Intel Quad Q6600 (2.4GHz) vs. Core 2 Duo E8400 (3.0 GHz)

his is my situation, I will buy a computer but I decided to buy processor, the computer used primarily for games.

These are the characteristics of the processes:
    ---- QUAD Q6600:
    8 MB L2 Cache
    2.4 ghz
    1066 fsb

    ----- E8400 Core 2 duo
    6 MB L2 cache
    3.0 ghz
    1333 fsb

My question is .. which should I buy?! Unlike now or will in the future (the future I mean the next two years not more)?

    Thanks in advance.

Difficult to play (though obviously depends 99.999% of the graphic) the option would be the E8400, 2 nuclei at high frequencies now are better than 4 to a little less, but progress under the support and optimization of quads could change the landscape but with good plate / cooler of the duo spends 4Ghz and words that are already higher.

I think that something even more expensive quad so I would go by myself E8400 besides being 45nm.
