yes you can go up to 8Gb in DDR2. mostly you should go for DDR2. |

You need to find out which type of RAM your motherboard supports and how much it supports. You can get 4 gigabytes (if your motherboard supports it), but unless you have a 64-bit computer you'll only be able to use about 3 gigabytes (give or take). eMachines can only go up to 2GB probably due to a cheap motherboard. It uses DDR2, so look for pretty much any speed of 240-pin DDR2 (1GB stick is your best bet.) |
