Ticking Sound in Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300

I am having Q9300 CPU click and it is making a Ticking Sound in it.At the same time i am overclocking it @ 3.GHz.Can anyone help me out.

I guess your CPU Does not make noise.It would be your Heatsink fan also.If you are sure it is coming from CPU area only than.A ticking sound from inside a computer case is most always the sound of a hard drive getting ready to die.Try to make a backup as soon as possible.
