    L2 cache or processor speed?

    Hi.

I am about to buy a new computer and I need some help. I have found two computers that seem good but I can not see which one that are the best. Here are links to the specifications (only in English but maybe you can figure out what it says anyway?):

    1. Toshiba Satellite A-300-D15c

    2. Toshiba Satellite A200-25 R

As you can see the Processors are quit different: The A300 has a AMD Athlon Dual Core QL-60 with 1.9 GHz but only 1GB L2 cache, while the A200 has a Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 with 1.66 GHz but 2GB L2 cache. The graphic card is also differing as the A300 has a ATI Radeon HD3470 Hybrid Crossfire with 256 MB, while the A200 has a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 - 512 MB.

My question is which of these computers that will give me the highest performance. Should I go for the L2 cache in the A-200 or the processor speed in the A300?

Or is it worth to pay a little more to get this instead:

    Satellite A300-1K6

    This one has a Intel ® Centrino ® Processor Core ™ 2 Duo T5750, 2.0 GHz with 2GB L2 cache .

I think you mean RAM instead of L2 cache. 2GB L2 cache would be pretty sweet What are you going to use the PC for? I would go for the Core2Duo with 2GB of RAM anyway, but it depends on your situation.

hehe. I mean 1 and 2 MB of cache. My bad. Does that make any difference? I will use the computer for general use but I have to be able to play future releases of the football manager game.

I would also prefer the Core 2 Duo, since it delivers better performance.

Thank you for the answers and the welcoming! Much appreciated!

So you all think that the Core 2 Duo is the best choice? But the processor speed seems rather slow. In my old computer I have an 1.6 GHz AMD Turion and this is only 1.66 GHz. Will I notice any big difference?
