Am I limited to CPU ?

I have a small problem which I would like to know. Here's my config

Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3GHz
3GB DDR2 800mhz
HD 4870X2
Vista 32 bit

My score on 3D Mark: 9369
CPU Score: 5038
Graphics Score: 13133

More under the games such as far cry 2, I get 40 fps on an average, max of 70 and min of 30 (on a 1680 x 1050 resolution).

On other games like Crysis, I get 20 fps on an average. A very less right?

Am I limited to CPU? Why I get results of lower than normal?

No, you is not CPU-limited, a Core2 to 3Ghz that does not limit anything (at least today).

I have a Core2 at 3.33GHz to my vantage P5400 (8800GTS) if it can reassure you.

The result of the bench is normal, but not in games.

For example I have the same result for far cry 2 from a friend who has a E8500 and HD4870 in home.

According to benchs an HD 4870X2 should always be above 60 fps in for example Far Cry 2 and normally Crysis should turn 25-30fps

For 3GB of ram, I can not save more for two reasons, the first is that I'm in vista business 32bits therefore maximum is 3GB and the second, the 4th port of the motherboard seems defective.

Crysis is just super greedy, and FarCry just build on this configuration at 40 fps medium seems normal.

But may be on the perf benchs are highest ...

And far cry 2 for a mate who has a 4870 and E8500 has 3.1ghz has exactly the same perf I should have more than him not? Especially as my vantage points in 9000 against 7000 home ...

But you forget that you did not test in exactly the same conditions. Your config seems to have no problem.
