Asus P5B motherboard and RAM 8500 DDR2

my mobo ASUS P5B is not designed to work with the ram ddr2 8500 at the base

almost as good but at the same price as the 6400 ddr2 I say why not!

my question is: Will she work with this ram but simply to a lower frequency or refuse to boot?

If you have the deluxe version, it is compatible with DDR2-800 and has a
overlooking DDR2: DDR2-533 to DDR2-1067!

The record for the highest frequency with the DDR2 was also performed on a P5B Deluxe, with the DDR2 operating at 1420 MHz. In short, this mobo is praised everywhere for its overclocking capabilities. We obviously wanted to check all this into practice.

uh this is not the classic P5B
but there is no reason as why it does not go with ram 8500 although it remains to lower frequencies?

You can use up to PC2-5300 DDR2-666 after flashing the Bios. You can put in faster memory, but the maximum speed will be DDR2-666.

I am 100% sure that PC2 8500 ram will work the P5B just fine like mine. Can you tell me what version it is? All DDR2 1066 is is overclocked DDR2 800, when you get it up and running have a look at CPU-Z it'll show PC2 6400 even though is 1066.
