    Overclockable motherboard for playing games

I would like to know at first what MOTHERBOARD for OC and play
    DFI? Gigabyte? ASUS?

Knowing that I intend to put an E8400 and DDR2 PC8500

And what is the best chipset
    - Nvidia 750i
    - New Intel x38 or x48 or
    - Former p43 or p45 ...

And then what is the differences between HD4850 1gb and HD4870 512mb. Because I hesitate between a HD4850 1gb and HD4870 512mb (1gb or if indeed the difference in price is justified)

Here is what I am left to redo my PC (motherboard, RAM, Processor, Graphics card)

    Budget Rs. 30k to 40k

    - DFI Lanparty Dark P45-T2RS Plus (Intel P45 Express) - ATX
    - Gainward HD 4850 Golden Sample - 1 GB TV-Out/Dual DVI
    - G. Skill PI Series 4 GB (2x 2 GB kit) DDR2-SDRAM PC2-8500 --
    - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 - Dual Core Socket 775 FSB1333 L2 cache 6 MB 0045 micron (boxed version - Intel warranty 3 years)

If 4850 => 512 MB, not need to have more (except for crossfire?)
    If 4870 => 512 or 1024MB

To recommend a graphics card you must know what you play ...
The 4850 GSE is an excellent choice anyway.

All the components you mentioned are very good indeed, but I advise p45. Only be careful, it seems that the BIOS of DFI is not very "user friendly" compared to the asus or gigabyte ...

The DFI is good, otherwise you can have the Biostar Tpower P45 which is also excellent in overclocking. And it is true that, for reading tests, bios of the DFI is not really clear.

For the graphics card, as already said 1Gb HD4850 is not worth.

    4870 1GB if you want to play in 1920 x 1080 resolutions.

For the motherboard, gigabyte EP45 or Asus p5q.

    So the final will be:

    - Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3R (Intel P45 Express) - ATX
    - G. Skill PI Series 4 GB (2x 2 GB kit) DDR2-SDRAM PC2-8500
    - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 - Dual Core Socket 775 FSB1333 L2 cache 6 MB 0045 micron
    - Gainward HD 4870 Golden Sample - 1 GB TV-Out/Dual DVI

    Any other advice or opinions

Maybe choose a quad that seem to take games (such as GTA4 everything ...).
