AMD planning to launch two new dual-core processors, the Athlon X2 7750 and 7550.

These dual-core would be based on the architecture Kuma, already used by the Phenom X2, and would therefore be engraved in 65 nm. The Athlon X2 7550 is running at 2.5 GHz while the Athlon X2 7750 it would be at 2.7 GHz. Both would require technology and HyperTransport 3.0 socket AM2 +. They also incorporates 1 MB of cache second level (L2), 2 MB cache third level (L3) and a controller DDR2 memory clocked at up to 1 066 MHz. They finally heat dissipation (TDP) of 95 watts.

These processors, expected during the first quarter of 2009, would compete with Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 and E7400. No information has filtered about their pricing, we know however that a Core 2 Duo E7300 is trading around 110 euros.
