    Core2Quad Q9550 chipset

I have gradually fallen to some of the motherboard that are good and which ones affordable, while I think there are a lot of different chipsets in the market.
I am thinking to have Core2Quad Q9550 processor and expect to have some 12,800 PC-RAM.

I also most inclined to Asus motherboard. So I have 2 questions.
What is the difference between all of the chipset available: Intel x38, Intel x48, Intel P35, NVIDIA nForce, Intel P45???? And what would be a good bid on a motherboard?

As far as I remember X-chip sets are designed for if you want to run the crossfire. P-chip sets for if you only want to run with a single graphics card, however, may P45 chipsets run crossfire, but not at full speed on nr2. NVIDIA motherboard is if you want to run with graphics cards in SLI.

It is true as explained by SecRecy. Save from nVidia's chipset will be named something with SLI, because it is supported.

    EDIT:
Remember also that the motherboard will support DDR3 RAM, where it absolutely MUST be DDR3-RAM.
No reason for it to be DDR3 and that they must be as fast?
