    BSOD while installing Vista

I have Gigabye 8I848P-G Motherboard. I am trying to install Windows Vista on my computer and facing this problem. Whenever I press F6, I get BSOD.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Have you checked the BIOS settings? Ideally it should be like this:

    SATA RAID/AHCI Mode: AHCI
    SATA Port0-3 Native Mode: Enabled
    Onboard SATA/IDE Control Mode: AHCI

Your hard drive should have a tiny jumper installed to force SATA 1 operations. Just find it and remove for 3.0GB/s operation. Should solve your problem.
