Core 2 duo & dual core are both different processors so what is the difference between them & supporting motherboards?

Hi,
I want to know the exact difference between core 2 duo & dual core?
What is advanced between both of them. IS there any more advanced processor than these two processors?
What are the motherboards available to support these processors?
Can a single motherboard support both of these motherboards?

Here is the answer
Pentium D: An older line of single core processors, It was made for workplaces ( Celeron D was for home computers )

Pentium Dual Cores are just a cheaper line of the Core 2 Duos, they are very much the same and recommended for gaming and home use.

The Core 2 Duo is a more powerful dual core processor made for graphics design and video editing etc.

Dual core/ Core 2 duo processors have two processing cores in one processing unit. Thus allowing certain programs to access different cores at once making it more balanced and faster at processing.

If you get a C2D supporting motherboard you will be able to upgrade to a C2D in the future.

"Intel Dual Core" is the previous generation "Pentium" chips from Intel.
The current generation is "Core2Duo". Core2Duo is MUCH faster and MUCH cooler than the "Intel Dual Core".

There could never really be any reason to get an older Intel Chip.
If you are on a very tight budget go with AMD instead. With even a moderate Budget, the entry level Core2Duos will give you tremendous power.

They're both socket 775 but "Dual core" seems to be half the cost of "Core 2 duo"

dual core is just a processor with two p4 normal processor.... but core 2 duo is also same contain 2 cores and also 40% performance high and 40% less power consumption than dual core....
