hi i have my old P4 pc, now i want to upgrade it with quad core. So please tell me how much it will cost to me and is it worthy to do so.
Should i go for a new quad core pc.

Very first thing do you wish to upgrade your processor only?
If yes then you must check your motherboard model & type if it support quad core or not?
Please tell us your motherboard specifications!

It is always worthy to upgrade the old PC. If you intend to play high end games or going to use it for programs requiring high resources, then go for Quad Core PC. Else a Core2 Duo is also best for normal use.

its p4 Intel - 845 GVSR.

Is that possible with that motherboard or would i have to change.

I had read it somewhere that this motherboard Intel 845 GVSR P4 is not as compatible with the dual core also. So its very doubtful to be compatible with core 2 quad. Not sure though.
