    q6600 + ati 4870 bottleneck

    Hi,

I recently asked a few post it could happen to my graphic that was quite behind in some games, I decided to do a little oc and these results are opting in Allan.d, dx10, 1680x1050, hight, 64bits

    q6600 2,4ghz, 27 fps de media q6600 2.4 ghz, 27 fps on average
    q6600 2,66ghz, 34 fps de media q6600 2.66 ghz, 34 fps on average
    q6600 3ghz, 37fps de media q6600 3GHz, 37fps average

10 fps difference of lower quality graphics and the difference increases more and more, the truth seems to me a little crazy that I buy a processor that shortly before the departure of Allan.d and cost me over 200 € make such a bottleneck and not just Allan.d also in what I bought at world in conflict so I suppose that any game that recent and future cpu pull the same thing will happen, I write this in order for people thinking about this for a quad play, I repent me much truth the day I bought it almost a year ago said the same thing that is now saying "I buy it for the future surely exploit" I thought what I had spent a year and follows the same thing happening, so I at least try to sell my quad, is a b3 and I do not oc that temperatures were extremely high during the tests .., if someone helps this experience, a greeting

****!, I have a 4870 and it is supposed to mount a vat q6600 not very convinced, but by what I say is no longer whether to opt for the e8400 which is something even more cheap ...

The bottleneck has always existed and will exist in some games will do the CPU and the GPU others, as well as games can work well whether or not there is a bottleneck.

There is evidence that currently is faster games for a dual core fast as a quad core slow taking into account the way games are scheduled. It will shortly be normal for most games take full advantage of multi threaded programming and this trend be reversed, which will be faster processors that dual quad.

Obviously, for a quad core as much and can compete with dual-core fast, how often I have to get around the 3GHz. Surely two of the cores will be half dead of laughter, but the games go faster if it has a powerful GPU.

I do not worry over the account for this. There is too much "neck bottles" around.
