Help to buy MGS4 ps3 bundle

Hi guys! I'm on a budget & going to get the MGS4 ps3 bundle when it hits the shelves. I want to play PS3 with existing hardware. My monitor is a Samsung 226bw, I dont know if i would connect the ps3 to the monitor via HDMI->DVI cable? Also, for sound what can i do? & how's the video quality? if anyone's done it.

You can buy MGS4 combo in walmart because they give you $100 gift card when you buy a blu ray player or a PS3, so in my point of view it will drop your PS3 price to $399 making it a nice price or you can buy a PS3 game and a blue ray controller.
Video IQ is not the same because of different HDTV specs but your Samsung lcd will look good but not better because PS3 is made for HDTV & not PC lcd, that why it look odd when you hook it up to the PC lcd, but its better then SDTV.

Do you know if the $100 gift card is valid in Canadian Walmarts as well? Hmm, about the samsung, the video will display everything as it should, but just be of different aspect is what you're trying to say?
My old TV cut off a little bit in each corner so there is no full screen on my N64.
Hopefully it won't do that on the samsung.

it depends on what type of monitor are you using.
I have an 2407wfp and a ps3 and it does play very nice, even i don't have a big HDTV to compare.
What card are you using? Is it Nvidia?

I am using Sony Bravia XBR6 32in 1080p 120hz HDTV & the picture image quality is very sweet. Your lcd will look very nice since it has 3,000:1 DC ratio since my mom Samsung 26in 720p HDTV has 4,000 DC ratio & it look very nice in 720p. also DO NOT RUN YOUR LCD IN 1080p because that lcd only can handle 1680x1050 signal and can mess up your lcd since that lcd don't have 1080p signal.
Yeah all wal-mart has the $100 gift card but they already sell MGS4 80gb combo in some stores in wal-mart stores.
