    gv-r927xoc-2gd problems help plz

My gv-r927xoc-2gd at random times starts mess up i think. I'm not tech savvy. Example, when i am on wow it randomly will start to have lag spikes every 1 second or second and a half. The only way to fix is to restart my computer. It also seems to cause my computer to random freeze graphics wise. I can be on skype and still talk and hear, but i get no response from the computer.

So, you have a Gigabyte R9 270X graphics card which is not working fine? Can you please first of all tell us what is your whole computer specifications? What PSU and cooling solutions are your using? How old is this video card? Does the problem occurs in every game that you play? While gaming, can you check the temperature of the video card by using some softwares like CPUz.

First you need to click Start and then in Search type dxdiag. After that check through all the tabs and then perform all tests. Now click on "Save all Information..." and then save it to a text tile to a location of your computer and then copy and paste all those information in your next reply.

Download and install the CPUz tool as mentioned above by searching it on google. While you are playing the game, minimize it and then run the CPUz tool to check what temperature you are getting. Also check by launching the Task Manager on your desktop, whether any application is consuming 100% CPU usage or not.

when i left the computer idle for a few hours is when it decides to mess up. Everything looked fine except the "Activity" portion of my graphics it wouldnt go beyond 5% and that is when i get the problems. Temps and everyitng else look normal at like 42C, or 107.6F. Its only when it sits idle for a while it seems.

Try to update the BIOS of your Gigabyte R9 270x OC and see if that helps. First of all download the Gigabyte VGA@BIOS tool from this link - http://www.gigabyte.com/support-down...lity.aspx?cg=3

After that get the GV-R927XOC-2GD BIOS (F2) from here - https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Byw6...=sharing&pli=1

It seems that there is definitely something wrong with the graphics card. Can you try to test the same card in other computer and see if it is working normally or giving the same problem. If there is any problem then I would definitely ask you to contact the video card manufacturer and ask them for a replacement since it is a new card which is under warranty.
