Silly Question: do I update Bios before installing GPU?

I have a new build, and besides having Power up issues, I have a GTX 750, and have not installed until I fix possible bad. (new Seasonic. 550 S12G) PSU, or it's the Mobo grounding out.
Anyway, on the box, it states that I have to update the Bios first. Is this right, or do I install the card, then install cd install software AFTER?
I can't say for certain I have never FLASHED my Bios, so is updating completely different and easy to do?

Generally, you just install the graphics card in your system and then boot up the pc and install its latest graphics driver available. BIOS update is not required if your card is working fine without any issues and since it is a new card then I would ask you to do the update after some time. Any wrong flashing of the bios could also brick the card, so read the instructions properly and then update to any latest bios available for your card.
