low fps with 2 x hd 7970

Last week I have bought 2 new hd 7970 graphics card and I put it in my computer in Crossfire setup. I am using a Amd processor and have all the latest graphics driver installed in my system. I have also updated th BIOS of my motherboard. But when I am trying to play games like COD or Saints Row then I am getting very low fps? Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem? Thanks

Can you tell us at what resolution you are plaing the game? Are you using multiple monitors to connect? Also let us know what FPS rate you are getting? If you are getting anything above 30fps then these are quite fine. Normally, you can get 60fps or more depending upon the graphics settings that you are using while gaming.

Can you try to change the graphics settings from lower to higher and then check what FPS rate you are getting? You can try to play the games at low resolution and also turn off Anti-Alising to get good FPS while gameplay but the only drawback is that the game will not look good as it used to look before. Just try to lower AA settings or details setting and compare the difference.

Can you tell us which motherboard you are using? You should actually get an Intel processor if you would like to get best out of your computer build. The amd processors are fine when softwares utilize its every cores. If you can get a intel core 3570K with a nice heatsink then you can expect a good performance from your computer.
