MSI GTX 660 vs. ASUS GTX 660

I want to get a new garphic card for gaming and I have checked out MSI GTX 660 and ASUS GTX 660. I don’t want you all to suggets me any other than these. I have tweaked about this with some of my friends and have got varying response some are suggesting me to get MSI GTX 660 where as others are suggesting me to get ASUS GTX 660. I am pretty confused and I want some techy people here to suggest me the best one.

Will you be overclocking your graphic card for better fps and so?? I am asking this because ASUS GTX 660 is good and has better performance where as MSI GTX 660 will perform a bit low compared to it but will run cooler. So in case you might be planning to overclock your GPU for better fps and better performance than I will suggest you to go with MSI GTX 660. If not, than ASUS GTX 660 will be a better choice.

I have heard that even after overclocking MSI GTX 660 doesn’t go above 70 degrees. By the way what’s your system specification?? Let me know about it so that I can have better idea of your case and will suggest you accordingly.

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-77X-D3H
Processor - Core i7 Processor
RAM - 8GB
PSU - Antec HCG 750W

Yes MSI GTX 660 runs quite cooler as compared to ASUS GTX 660. As far as performance is concerned MSI GTX 660 will perform good, I don’t think there might be much differences between their performances but a noticeable one. I have gone through many articles where people have compared MSI GTX 660 and ASUS GTX 660 performances, ASUS wins with a bit of better performance where as MSI wins with lower temps. I will suggest you to go with MSI GTX 660 as latest games now a days are getting resource hungry and many have to overclock their card to avoid low fps and freezing issue.

People over here have already pointed you in the right direction. I don’t think you should have any confusion now. Choice is yours, if you have planned for overclocking than get MSI GTX 660, if not than get ASUS GTX 660. Ill personally suggest you to go with ASUS GTX 660 as your system specification looks good and there won’t be need of overclocking.

I’ll pick up ASUS GTX 660 as I don’t want to try out any kind of overclocking in my system. Hope I will be able to run latest game without any issues. One of my friends is using ASUS GTX 660 but he was suggesting me to get MSI GTX 660, I don’t know for what reason. That’s the reason I was in doubt. I have raised same question in some other forum and even the people over there have suggested me to go for MSI GTX 660.
