GeForce GTX 465 B-Stock vs GeForce GTX 285

Hi, currently am using GTX 285 on my computer that is giving some problems since last couple of weeks. Hence i decided to go with a new one. After comparing many graphic cards, finally i choose GTX 465 to go with. But still am confused if am making wrong decision. So could you guys please tell me whether I should purchase it or not? Thanks a lot in advance.

I think GTX 285 is enough old card and you would like to upgrade the same. you should go for GTX 465 if you really wanted to upgrade graphic card. even if I am not wrong GTX 470 is not having any performance issue. it seems to be bit difficult job whenever you are trying to compare graphic cards which are based on different architecture. Since there could be huge difference between clocks, total number of clocks and memory output.

As far as I know GTX 470 and GTX 480 are based on gf100 technology. However GTX 465 based on gt200. Due to that particular reason GTX465 is really cheap. Let me know whether you got any issue while playing video games on the system. if so check it out whether issue is happening between graphic card and processor. You should have a look on benchmark before purchasing a new graphic card. you should not purchase GTX 265 if your processor is running slow.

GTX460 is more powerful as compared to GTX465. It consumes less amount of power eventually it generates less amount of heat. As far as comparison between GTX285 and GTX465 is concerned I would like to add following details.

GTX 285 has clock speed of 648 MHz. it has 1024 MB of GDDR3 RAM which can run on 1242 MHz.
GTX 465 has clock speed of 607 MHz and GDDR5 memory having size of 1024 MB. Video memory can work at 802 MHz.

After looking on the above mentioned specifications, GTX 285 should be more faster as compared to another one.
