Is it possible to use e-ink on Pc monitor

Ebook readers like kindle are equipped with e-ink display. I had seen some videos of this new technology which showed up a powerful screen with easy reading. I like the durability. Are there any monitors which comes with e-ink display. If yes what is the price and what is the model. From where can I buy that. Will that give the same output what we get on hd monitors.

E-ink display is meant for ebook readers. There is no such monitor which comes with e-ink support. You can wait for future, where there might be some similar products. E-ink is still under developing mode. They are being tested on ebook readers, and other gadgets. But talking about a pc monitor there is a great difference. A pc monitor has pixels to give you high quality video output. You can find that on your own by playing videos and games. Comparison to that e-ink is entirely different. It is usually meant for reading purpose only. While E-ink has only black and white particles only. There are millions of tiny micro-capsules on this screen. This micro-capsules has positive while particles and negative black one which appears on the screen as the electric current flows. This is entirely different in comparison to a monitor screen. I hope that in future you can see certain micro-capsules which are equipped with millions of colors and are capable of providing high quality of video output. There is time for that. Rightnow it is also no worth of getting a e-ink monitor. They have traditional black and white output that you can normally see on calculator screen.

There are no e-ink monitors. E-ink is just a plan digital paper equipped with small black and white particles. They are robust and durable and work under all circumstances. But compared to that our pc monitor technology is entirely different.

OLED needs time to come in market. They are too costly. You cannot just go for a widecreen OLED display. It is costly and if broken is more costly to fix. E-ink is a dual solution, but it is not actually meant for pc usage.
