48C temperature is normal For Asus HD 7970

Before a few days, I brought a new Pc which have Intel core i7 CPU, 8GB RAM, Intel DX58S0 Board, Asus HD 7970 Graphic card. It works too smooth and performance is outstanding. I am too happy to use it. I think I need to install some games to take graphical experience with my pc and to check performance of my graphical card. i installed many games and play it 2-3 hours continuously. After playing games I checked temperature of my pc by GPU Tweak. It shows 48 degree Celsius and I worried with this temperature. So, I want to know is it normal or overheated? Please help if Someone have proper knowledge of temperature.

I have Intel Core i5 with Asus HD 7970 and 16 GB of RAM. I get great performance and enjoying my games with this super HD quality of Graphic in this new machine. I am playing games 1-2 hours every day but at that day i play for 5-6 hours continuously. My Asus HD 7970 power temperature is 35C at idle time and more than 80C to 85C when I am playing Games with high load. In Asus specification the GPU 45C with 22% fan speed is at Idle and 86C with 51% fan speed at full load is normal. The power temperature shouldn't exceed 130c at too high load and this is the highest temperature on the entire card. 48C Temperature at the idle time is normal for Asus HD 7970 but if it is going to more than 55C temperature at idle then your card is stated for overheating. So, contact your engineer to solve issue.

Re: 48C temperature is normal For Asus HD 7970

I had Intel core i7 and Asus HD 7970 graphic Card which I brought before a day. I started my system and test all component and software. i try to measure temperature of GPU. It shows 100C power temperature on idle mode. I think it shows this problem by mistake. So, I started to play games and within a one hour my card was fired. I am scared so I call to my engineer for check my system. So,I tell you that never play games if your graphic card is overheated. First, call your engineer for testing system.
