Nvidia Tesla C2070 vs Nvidia GeForce GTX 590

I am willing to get a new video card and I am having Nvidia Tesla C2070 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 590 as my options but then I am confused between these two now and I am not able to make out which one is better, they both are having the same architecture but then I have found that Tesla C2070 has 448 where as GTX 590 has 1024 CUDA cores so this makes me think that GTX 590 is better but then I am not sure about the same, is there anyone who can help me out in choosing out the better one??

I think that Nvidia GeForce GTX 590 will be better then Nvidia Tesla C2070 as GTX 590 will give you better performance for gaming where as Nvidia Tesla C2070 is mainly for CAD or Health science stuff, so that depend on the work that you will be carrying out, if you are not that in to gaming then you can go for tesla, in short i think so:
    • Nvidia GeForce GTX 590- gaming
    • Nvidia Tesla C2070- workstation calculation

I completely agree to you for that but then I just wanted to add that they both are having the same architecture but then Tesla is having more GDDR5 memory and as far as the workstation calculation is concerned the Nvidia Tesla C2070 is having DVI output, anyways can you just give me more information about them so I can better decide out the best one in my case, if anyone wants then they can share their experience for these card as well.

Can you just answer me the below questions so that I can have a better idea of the card you might need:
    • Are you getting it for gaming?? Or are you in to researching for a project and so?
    • Do you use AutoCad or computational requirements?
    • What is your budget???

I also wanted to add that the major difference between them is that Tesla is having enhanced double-precision floating point enabled and it is also offering ECC as well as larger memories (3GB/6GB) as compared to GTX card.

Just to explain the difference in details:
    • Nvidia Tesla C2070 -Has double-precision and runs at 1/8th of the speed of single-precision float.
    • Nvidia GeForce GTX 590- Has double-precision and runs at 1/2th of the speed of single-precision float.

I also wanted to add that GTX590 is having 1024 core, in 2 GPU,DDR5 1707Mhz, Graphic Clock 607Mhz, Processor 1215Mhz and based on cores it will be quite near to C2075 just with 1 GPU. If you want then you can check out GTX580 as well it has 512 core,DDR5 2004Mhz, Graphic Clock 772Mhz, Processor 1544Mhz. They are quite cheap as well. I really think if it is just about gaming then you should get GTX 590.
